About The University
Bharathidasan University, named after the great revolutionary Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan (1891- 1968) was established in February 1982. The motto of the University: We will create a brave new world has been framed from Bharathidasan's poetic words in Tamil : Puthiathor Ulagam Seiwom. The University endeavors to be true to such a vision by creating in the region a brave new world of academic innovation for social change(NAAC - 2005, p.69). The year 2006 - 07 was the Silver Jubilee year for this great and vibrant University. Bharathidasan University is Nationally Re-Accredited with "A+ " Grade among the universities in India. It continues with a newer vigor to prove its credibility and sustain its worldwide reputation. The University has 4 Faculties, 16 Schools, 37 Departments and 36 Specialized Research Centres. There are 220 faculty members catering to about 2500 students and scholars in the University. The University Departments/Schools are offering 177 programs including 40 PG programs under the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) in Semesters with 33 Ph.D., 19 P.G. Diploma, 11 Diploma and 10 Certificate programs as on date. The university excels in research with around 4,100 International Publications contributing to 51,000 citations with a H-index of 82. About The Conference
The Department of Mathematics, Bharathidasan University is organizing an International Conference in Discrete Mathematics (ICDM- 2025) during December 11 - 13, 2025. The main aim of this conference is to nurture learning and research in diverse aspects of Discrete Mathematics, including Graph Theory and Coding Theory. With this in view, the conference proposes to bring leading experts from different countries and young researchers from different parts of our country to a common platform thereby providing a scope for exchanging their views and exploring recent developments in the theme of the conference. This conference aims to give special importance to young researchers - Ph. D. Scholars, Post-doctoral fellows in Discrete Mathematics in India, emphasizing creativity and nurturing emerging talent.

About the Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics started functioning in 1963. The Department of Mathematics presently offers M. Sc., and Ph. D. Programmes in Mathematics. Over the years, the Department has been making a steady growth in teaching and research and also conducting regularly various academic activities. Many outstanding mathematicians from India and abroad have visited the department and delivered lectures. The Department takes an integrated and innovative approach in teaching and training the students. As a result 2 to 4 students used to clear CSIR-JRF/NET Exam every year. Apart from teaching, the faculty members are carrying out research in the frontier areas of Mathematics including:
- Discrete Mathematics (including Coding Theory)
- Real Analysis
- Functional Analysis
- Difference Equations
- Differential Equations
- Dynamical Systems
- Numerical Analysis
Targeted Audience
The Conference welcomes research scholars, faculty members and Industry professionals who are interested in exploring the latest advancements in Discrete Mathematics along with their cutting-edge applications.
Call for Papers
The authors/researchers are invited to submit their full papers of their original, unpublished research contributions which are not currently under review in another conference or journal. Only the accepted and registered papers will be allowed to be presented at the conference.
Proceedings of the Conference
It is proposed to bring out the papers and invited talks presented at the conference as a special volume in the Scopus - Indexed book series of 'Springer Nature' with ISBN Number after a peer review process.
